Why did a world capitalist civilization emerge when it did Essay

Why did a world capitalist civilization emerge when it did - Essay Example 165) One word often used in connection with world capitalism in the twenty first century is â€Å"globalization† (Amin, 1997) Other ideologies like socialism or feudalism do exist in areas of the contemporary world but they find themselves surrounded by a network of other nations, states and large commercial organizations which largely dictates how resources are transferred from place to place, and ultimately steers the growth, decline or stability of large areas of the planet. There are local differences, of course, since each country develops out of one of a number of previous older and separate civilizations, but there is a sense in which they also join a coherent, single world-wide capitalist civilisation. Wallerstein describes this as capitalist civilisation as â€Å"universalism through particularism and particularism through universalism† (Wallerstein, 1984, p. 167). He sees its main characteristic as a continuous search for more and more profit to drive more and more growth. This paper traces the origins of modern capitalism civilisation back to its origins in the past. The question to be answered is when and where it originally emerged. One needs only to think of the hand-to-mouth existence of small, isolated and largely rural societies in the Middle Ages to realise what a significant change global capitalism has brought to the world: â€Å"Matters would change dramatically, however, with the violent remaking of the globe that commenced c. 1500 as the Spanish, Dutch, English, and French began seeking their fortunes far beyond their own national domains.† (Bryant: 2006, p. 407). The discovery of new lands full of untapped resources set off a chain reaction that led some two hundred and fifty years later to the industrial revolution. It is clear that capitalist civilisation must have begun after medieval times. Looking back through history it is generally agreed that origins of capitalism as a world civilisation are to be sought in W estern Europe in the period around the middle of the eighteenth century that has come to be called â€Å"The Enlightenment†. Other parts of the world, notably the Ottoman Empire, Persia and Japan were taking steps in the same direction, and some historians such as Pomeranz (2000) and Goody (2004) have argued that there were parallel moves in the direction of capitalism going on in non-European regions. The fact remains, however, that the scale and speed of European industrial expansion and commercial activity dwarfs anything that historians have been able to prove elsewhere. Vast quantities of goods were shipped to and from the colonies that Western Powers set up, specifically for the purpose of supplying industrial needs back home. Even more significant than that was the extent of the stimulus that occurred with the Enlightenment’s focus on science and technology: â€Å"And as economic historians have extensively documented, it was not the comparative cheapness of co lonial resources that provided Europeans with their decisive advantage, but the astounding productivity gains that came with mechanization and the factory organization of labour.† (Bryant: 2006, p. 434) An important first step was the invention of labour saving devices which increased food production in the small farms and fields. This in turn released labour to work in newly constructed factories who processed raw materials for local or European markets. By the middle of the eighteenth century the economies of scale that emerged were able to produce surpluses which were then reinvested to drive forward ever greater productivity. This cycle of development contains the germ of a capitalist culture and so we can conclude that the first stirrings of capitalist civilisation emerged in the mid eighteenth century

The Model That Kubler Ross Came Up With Philosophy Essay

The Model That Kubler Ross Came Up With Philosophy Essay This is an idea spearheaded by Dr. Elizabeth Kubler-Ross. The doctor studied and came up with methods of support and guidance for people who suffered from trauma, grief and grieving. This study of death is called thanatology this would in turn make Dr Kubler-Ross a thanatologist and she has contributed a lot to the relevance of this genre. The studies and research she did helped others to be able to cope with the grief they experienced either personally or through friends and loved ones. This is mostly because before her theories mostly people just put aside their feelings, this especially with the western civilization who take death as a bad omen or taboo. Dr. Kubler-Ross came up with the main stages that one undergoes when in grief and the effects that this has on the person involved and the society at large. The behaviours of those under grief range from the belief they could not stop the events that occurred for them to suffer grief, the grieving might have different conflicting emotions where they cope with what has occurred. The grieving can move from laughter to sadness. They may engage in activities to occupy their minds and so forth. Experts believe that grief can be classified into two main styles: Intuitive and Instrumental where Instrumental represent those people that perform physical activities as their way of grieving for instance sports, dancing and hobbies that excite them. Intuitive on the other hand take from the event that led to the grief and start taking their lives from a different perspective by changing the way they live, do more charity work, mend broken relationships since life is too short and it is not worth to hold grudges. The model that Kubler-Ross came up with constituted five main stages. This was illustrated in her book On Death and Dying  [1]  . The first stage is Denial, in this stage the individual grieving due to loss or any other stressful activity that has happened for instance broken relationships and loss of employment (KuÃÅ'ˆbler-Ross (1974)). The grieving believes they are fine with everything and that they have nothing to worry about. This according to Dr Kubler-Ross is only but a temporary solution since one now takes situations more personally and it takes a heavy toll to hide the real feelings they have. The other stage is anger, this stage the affected individual is angered by why this has happened to them and not to anyone else though it may have happened to many other people before them (KuÃÅ'ˆbler-Ross (1974)). This people believe that the world has something against them and they look for people or something to let it out on. These people start being violent and unbecoming towards those close to them which make the situation even worse. In this stage the person grieving cannot continue with denial as this is not enough, this makes them do something they might regret but seemed a good idea at the time. The next stage is bargaining the individual has now come to terms with what has happened and now tries to make sure they give themselves hope to have enough time in the world if they are dying or more time with their loved ones if your loved one is faced with death. The end result is now at hand and one will do close to anything to have just a little more time. Bargaining will include spending all your life savings to postpone the death of the loved one this includes having them on life support for as long as possible until you are even bankrupt(KuÃÅ'ˆbler-Ross(2005)). This stage one has already accepted their fate but believe if they could only have more time. The person grieving wants more time to make sure they have done everything or most of what they wished to do in their bucket list before they say their final goodbye. The next stage is Depression, here one has given up if one is dying they do not bother with anything anymore if one is losing a loved one they lose hope also and do not want to continue on with their lives. The knowledge that death is now very certain one disconnects, for the one dying they may refuse to see those they loved, they grieve on their own and accept their fate since constantly seeing those they love is even worse (KuÃÅ'ˆbler-Ross (2005)). Those losing a loved one should not try to give them false hopes as this will counteract on them so they should leave their loved ones to process the grief they are facing as this is very important for them. The last and final stage is acceptance one here has to prepare themselves of the expected reality. This is where one cannot change what is to happen so they do their best to make sure they have come to terms with what is to happen and say their goodbye. When one accepts the reality they can be able to move on in peace and cherish the life lived by those they lost. These stages when first formulated by Dr. Kubler-Ross mostly involved those suffering from terminal illnesses for instance cancer but it was later translated to also be relevant for personal loss which includes job, relationships, freedom and natural disasters. These stages may not be experienced by every person in the world who is grieving nor in the order shown above but one must experience at least two of the stages when grieving. The process of grieving is very important and one should not force it or rush to recovery. This process should be left to work itself out for as long as required. This should go on until one eventually reaches the final stage of accepting their loss and move on from here as there is so much to live for. It is very important to realize that as life is important death is equally important and one should be able to understand and embrace it as it is inevitable. This model of grief applies to gender due to the fact the toll taken by the different gender male and female is very diverse. The problems or grief faced by a male towards risks or dangerous situations is not that threatening but the same to a female is very threatening. Examples include men are the ones who are tasked with being the source of security while women stay behind the scenes. The same is true for grief women tend to show their grief more openly than their male counterparts thus a female is more likely to recover from grief faster than men since they do not hide the toll grief takes on them making their recovery quicker, while men mostly are in denial for a very long time thus the process is very slow and they hurt more emotionally. Emotional responses are different across the gender roles thus the grief model helps us understand the perspectives that people are different. This shows we should give the individual suffering from some grief ample time to recover from the issues associated with the loss  [2]  . The time it takes for you if quick do not push others to also come to terms with their grief as this may have a negative effect on the person. The model of Kubler-Ross acknowledges there is more or less a pattern for individuals suffering from bereavement, great loss, loss of employment and the levels that it affects the individuals vary greatly. The result eventually is acceptance and no matter how long it takes or the order of the stages of grief they will cope. The main realization of this model is life moves on and with time everyone heals. Once an individual realizes how to deal with their emotions they will be able to undergo this process more easily. Grief is experienced by everyone at one time or another and the time it takes to heal varies from one person to the next. It can be anywhere from a month to even two or more years. Grief does not mean that one cannot experience happiness, joy and laughter this can be felt even when one is suffering from even the worst of situations. Other people their grief is recurring even after long periods of time. This is mostly due to underlying issues in their psychology for instance depression that was aggravated as a result of the loss or dependency on the lost loved one in your life thus they are a constant reminder they are no longer there for you. There have been other experts that show that to cope with grief is not necessarily in stages but a dual process. This was described by Stroebe and Schut that it is changing from experiences you have of loss to your normal experiences before the loss came into the picture. This helps the bereaved to realize there is more to live for and so come to terms with their grief. The work of psychologist J.W. Worden also noted the tasks of grief which involved the acceptance of the reality of the loss as one cannot do anything about it. The second was to work through the pain of grief this is the same as taking your time to heal and recover from the loss to return your life to normal. The next task is to adjust your life to living without the lost loved one in your day to day environment. The last task is to control your emotions to the fact the deceased is no longer with us and thus move on with your life without them. In children, grief, for example in divorce, is manifested through a systematic process. The first step is denial, where the children feel the requirement to accept that their guardians will get back together, or they will alter their opinion about the separation. There is the thought in the childs head that both parents will change their minds and get back together. The next step is anger. This is where children feel the requirement to accuse somebody for their pity and misfortune. This is evident where the child is agitated and blames one parent from leaving them. Next, a child is at a stage where they want to bargain. In this stage, kids feel as though they have some state in the scenario assuming that they carry a deal to the table. This causes them keep concentrated on the positive that the scenario may change, and less kept tabs on the negative, and the bitterness theyll encounter after the separation. For example, a child may want to run errands hoping that this will bring peace to the parents and defer the breakup. Depression next sets in, and includes the tyke encountering bitterness when they know there is nothing else to be finished, and they acknowledge they cant stop the separation. The folks need to let the tyke encounter this technique of lamenting in light of the fact that provided that they dont, it will just indicate their failure to adapt to the scenario. Finally, a child acknowledges the situation. This does not fundamentally imply that the tyke will be altogether cheerful once more. The acknowledgement is only moving past the wretchedness and beginning to acknowledge the separation. The sooner the folks begin to proceed onward from the scenario, the sooner the kids can start to acknowledge the actuality of it. Grief during a break up occurs in the following manner. In the denial stage, the individual being broken up with is unable to concede that the relationship is truly over. Theyll surmise that it is either a joke or that the other partner will soon come to acknowledge that it was an oversight and theyll be back together. In the anger stage, when the actuality sets in that the relationship is over, it is common for one partner to demand the knowledge of why the relationship ended. This stage can make them feel like they are being treated treacherously and it might cause them to end up being angry at individuals near them who want to help the break up scenario. After the anger stage, comes the bargaining stage where one will attempt to argue with their previous spouse by guaranteeing that whatever initiated the breakup will never happen again. Next the individual may feel debilitated that their bargaining supplication did not persuade their previous spouse to alter their opinion. This will send the individual into the depression stage and can create an absence of sleep, eating food and even upset everyday bodily functions such as bowel movement. Acknowledgement and moving on from the scenario and individual is the final stage. The individual acknowledges that the relationship is over and starts to get up and go on with their life. The individual may not be totally over the scenario however they are finished backpedaling and onward to the focus where they can acknowledge the actuality of the scenario. In the case of alcohol abuse, an individual feels that they dont have an issue concerning liquor or substances. Regardless of the fact that they do feel as though they may have a minor issue they accept that they have finite control over the scenario and can quit drinking or doing pills whenever they need. During their angry phase, the abuser identifies with how they get angry on the grounds that they have a habit or are angry that they can no longer use drugs. Some are angry that they are enslaved by drugs and do not want to be like so anymore, and others are angry that they can no longer use drugs. In the bargaining stage, medication and liquor abusers endure when they are attempting to influence themselves or another person that they are setting off to quit misapplying to receive something in return or get them out of inconvenience. In the depression stage, sadness and sadness are vital parts of the sadness stage while managing a medication abuser. Most abusers experience this when they are facing the withdrawal stage stopping their compulsion. It is essential to convey the aforementioned sentiments as a technique of the mending. The acceptance stages ends up with substance abusers conceding you have an issue is diverse the same as tolerating you have an issue. At the time you concede you have an issue this is less averse to happen in the bartering stage. Tolerating that you have an issue is when you acknowledge that you have an issue and begin the procedure to resolution the issue. As stated in the above examples, as per her theory, Kà ¼bler-Ross guaranteed the aforementioned stages dont essentially come in place, nor are everything stages encountered by all patients. She stated, in any case, that an individual will dependably encounter no less than two of the stages. Regularly, individuals will encounter numerous stages in a roller coaster impact switching between two or more stages, coming back to one or more sometimes before working through it. Women are more possible than men to experience each of the five stages. Nonetheless, the Kà ¼bler-Ross theory holds that there are people who battle with expiration until the close. Certain clinicians accept that the harder an individual battles passing, the more probable they will be to stay in the refusal stage. Provided that this is the situation, it is conceivable the affected individual will have more trouble biting the dust in a noble manner. Different analysts state that not facing death until the end is better for some individuals. A dying persons approach to passing on has been joined to the measure of significance and reason an individual has discovered all through his lifetime. An investigation of 160 individuals with less than three months to live demonstrated that those who felt they comprehended their reason in life or considered uncommon importance, confronted less fear and lose hope in the last weeks of their lives than those who had not. In this and comparative studies, deep sense of being assisted kicking the bucket people manage the wretchedness stage more forcefully than those who were not otherworldly. Investigations of teaching method, the procedure of instructing, propose that the examples of distress are restricted of depicting the fundamental examples of joining new informative content that clashes with past convictions. Additionally, see Learning hypothesis (training) All truth passes through three stages. First and foremost, it is scorned. Second, it is brutally contradicted. Third, it is acknowledged as being undeniable. stated Arthur Schopenhauer of the studying technique, which relates to the five phases of distress with mocking being disavowal, restriction being anger and bartering, and acknowledgement being gloom and acknowledgement. There is additionally a theory which recommends that this studying methodology is the same example perceived in the here and there and then here again circling development of a molecule being aggravated by a wave.[6] Emotional force climbs and down and up once more, while information moves regressive, forward, back, and then send once more, until the distinctive is blissful with the way they have mixed the new qualified data with the old. We comprehend that individuals immersed in the result of grief need to realize what to need and to what extent it will keep going. Such inquiries can never be attractively answered. Since each griever is exceptional, there are no quick answers about sorrow. To the extent that as weve put into disproving the stages, Kubler-Ross herself disproves them superior to we can in the opening passage of On Grief and Grieving: The stages have developed since their presentation, and they have been extremely misconstrued in the course of recent decades. They were never intended to assist tuck chaotic feelings into flawless bundles. They are reactions to misfortune that numerous individuals have, yet there is not an ordinary reaction to misfortune, as there is no run of the mill misfortune. Our anguish is as distinctive as our lives. Not everybody lives out every last one of them or goes in a recommended request.

Parent-Child Relationship Essay -- Papers Parenting Children Essays

Parent-Child Relationships The topic I have chosen for my paper is that of relationship between parents and children. Some of the points that I will be discussing are child abuse, child neglect and how it can affect a child and the relationship with the parents. A parent-child relationship is a special relationship that has a huge effect on the way that the child will turn out. This relationship is formed through pregnancy, adoption, and step parenting. Parenting requires a great deal of adaptation. The parents want to develop a strong bond with their child but they also want to maintain a healthy marital relationship and adult friendships. Potential parents often ask themselves what they will be like when they are parents and try to recall some experiences when they were children. Mothers are the primary caretakers of the children. The fathers have had minimal care taking responsibilities. Many women, if they had a career before hand, have to give it up to stay at home with the child. Although, many fathers where the wives must work become important in the process of care taking because their role must increase to their children. Studies of human fathers and their infants confirm that many fathers can act sensitively with their infant (according to Parke & Sawin, 1980) and their infants form attachments to both their mothers and fathers at roughly the same age (according to Lamb, 1977). A number of studies have been done on the caretaker’s effects on the child and suggests that the effects may have been caused by child’s behavior as much as by the caretaker’s (according to Bell 1979). The child’s aggression level can be affected by the parent’s authoritarian discipline. â€Å"Parents differ widely in sensing the needs o... ...d friendships later in life and also a good upbringing. Blindness of Prejudice – to Kill a Mockingbird

Everyone forms first impressions about others, but to act upon these early impressions as definite conclusions about other people’s characters is the beginning of the unfavorable trait of prejudice. In Harper Lee’s story, To Kill a Mockingbird, a young girl, Scout grows up in the small, southern town of Maycomb, Alabama, where prejudice is heavy. Being a secluded community, rumors fly around rapidly in Maycomb, creating warped and exaggerated stories of the targets of the gossip.Harper Lee demonstrates through the causes and sources of the discrimination that prejudice is derived from appearances as well as influences from other people. Harper Lee uses Jem’s prejudice toward his neighbor, Boo Radley to illustrate that discrimination branches off of other people’s opinions. Scout discovers two pieces of chewing gum in an oak tree on the Radley lot one day, while coming home from school. When her brother, Jem realizes where she obtained her prize, he screams , â€Å"Don’t you know you’re not supposed to even touch the trees over there? You’ll get killed if you do! † (45). Jem’s prejudice toward Boo is based on the rumors, stories, and opinions he has heard from other citizens of Maycomb. Despite the fact that he has never seen, let alone met, their reclusive neighbor, Jem still speaks badly of Boo. He discriminates against Boo because of what he has heard, rather than what he has experienced personally. In addition, Harper Lee reveals through the white jury’s discrimination toward Tom Robinson, a poor, crippled black man, that appearances are a major factor contributing toward prejudice. While sitting in the courtroom, during Tom Robinson’s trial, Scout observes the jury and realizes that â€Å"All [Mr. Ewell] had that made him better than his nearest neighbors was†¦ his skin was white† (229). Race and skin color are huge contributors to prejudice in Maycomb. Black people are co nsidered to be of lesser value than white people. Despite the fact that the Ewells live under terrible conditions and have no manners or morals, they still manage to receive much more respect than any black person would warrant. Similarly, Lee demonstrates racism based on first impressions through Lula’s ignorant ideas of Jem and Scout.Calpurnia, their black maid, decides to bring Jem and Scout to the black church one day, where they are met by Lula, a black woman, who angrily declares, â€Å"You ain’t got no business bringin’ white chillun here – they got their church, we got our’n† (158). Lula’s views of white people are similar to the views white people have of black people. She is discriminating against Jem and Scout due to their appearances and skin color. Her ignorance creates a rift right away between her and the two children before she allows herself to know them better personally.By emphasizing the reasoning of those who are prejudiced toward others, Harper Lee ultimately reveals that prejudice is motivated by not only appearances but also opinions absorbed from other people. Throughout the novel, there was not a single circumstance where a person discriminated against another because of what they had seen or experienced. All cases of injustice were derived from at least one of many things: first impressions, physical features, rumors, etc. Lee’s morals leave a lasting impact on the readers. Prejudice will only end when people stop themselves from acting upon their pre-formed ideas of others.

Many people become employees for touristry. It is the good for the UK. ( UNWTO one-year study 2011 ) So my study is about the importance of touristry in a developed state. Body: 1. Positive impacts of touristry of a state: Now-a-days touristry is one of the biggest industries of a state. It has many positive sides because it contributes in economic system of a state. 1.1Economic impacts of the touristry: Tourism creates occupations, through direct and indirect employment in touristry industry and in many sectors such as retail, adjustment and transit. Because these people spend their money for goods and services. Foreign exchange net incomes Contribution to authorities grosss Employment coevals Stimulation of substructure investing Contribution to local economic systems it is known as multiplier consequence making more occupations. The touristry industry besides provides many chances for little every bit good as large graduated table endeavors, which are really of import for rural communities and generates excess revenue enhancement grosss, such as hotel revenue enhancements and service revenue enhancements which are uses to develop this state. There are some economic impacts given below, Occupations: Employment can be straight related as tour usher or managerial place, or back uping services like nutrient production or retail providers. Increased disbursement: The community can bring forth from visitants by increasing disbursement to advance the liability of local concern. Economic variegation: Tourism operators play a part to foreground the prosperity that touristry can convey to state and will lend to a greater for the value of touristry. The latter amounted to an estimated $ 196 billion in 2011 conveying entire grosss generated by international touristry to $ 1.2 trillion. The Numberss of tourers are increasing and the income is increasing. We can give an illustration of UK touristry. There is characteristic of UK. Figure 01: figure of tourers in UK in 2011 Figure 02: entire gross of UK of last 3 old ages. ( Tourism confederation of UK, 2011 and UNWTO one-year study, 2011 ) 1.2Social impacts of touristry: Socially touristry has a great influence on the host societies. Reduce negative perceptual experience and idea. Bettering friendly relationship. Bettering pride, grasp, apprehension, regard and tolerance for others behavior and civilization. Bettering the self-pride of hosts and tourers. Psychological satisfaction with interaction. ( The economic and societal impact of touristry, 2012 ) 1.3. Environmental impacts of touristry: Tourism is peculiarly related to nature and ecotourism helps to advance the care of the wild life and natural resources like woods etc. these are regarded as touristry assets. It helps to do support for the protection of the animate being and Marine Parkss through entryway charges and usher fees. By making alternate beginnings of employment, touristry reduces many jobs like over-fishing and deforestation. Here are some positive environmental impacts of touristry, Direct fiscal part to the state. Contributions to the authorities grosss Improved environmental direction and planning. Protection and saving of the national resources. Alternate employment of the people. ( gdrc.org, 2012 ) 2. The negative impacts of touristry of a state: Every sector has some negative impacts. Tourism is non free from those. There are some negative impacts of touristry. They are, 2.1. Environmental impacts of touristry: Tourism poses a menace to natural and cultural resources, like H2O supply, beaches, coral reefs and heritage sites. It causes increased pollution through traffic emanations, littering, increased sewerage production and noise. Although touristry can interrupt ecosystem and environment, and touristry can besides be the really drift for good landscape otherwise vulnerable to industrial development. 2.1. Cultural impacts of touristry: Culture is the main affair of touristry and sing unusual civilizations can be educational ; and profitable for the community, but touristry is a needfully invasive procedure that thrusts traditional communities into modern universe, handling their distinguishable life styles and cultural merchandises. 2.2. Economic impacts of touristry: Tourism is for net income because it is its primary intent. so it the local regional country. But the fiscal load shouldered by a community to construct and keep the touristry industry is a consideration. Tourism development besides opens communities to advancement by seaward corporations supplying services to tourers, funneling the biggest net incomes from locals. Successful touristry relies on set uping a basic substructure. The cost of this falls on the authorities It has come out of revenue enhancement grosss. Jobs created by touristry are frequently seasonal and ailing paid. Money from the truism is non ever profit for the local community. Destination dependant on touristry can be affected by events like terrorist act, natural catastrophes and economic recessions. Successful touristry relies on set uping a basic substructure, such as roads, visitant centres and hotels. The cost of this normally falls on the authorities, so it has to come out of revenue enhancement grosss. Jobs created by touristry are frequently seasonal and ailing paid, yet touristry can force up local belongings monetary values and the cost of goods and services. Money generated by touristry does non ever profit the local community, as some of it leaks out to immense international companies, such as hotel ironss. Destinations dependant on touristry can be adversely affected by events such as terrorist act, natural catastrophes and economic recession. there are four basic negative economic impacts of touristry, Inflation Escape Infrastructure Incidental expense 2.3. Political impacts of touristry: Tourism is touted that means to shut spreads between peoples, civilizations and faiths, but difference of wealth and life style between locals and tourers in some countries can be bitterness. ( Positive A ; Negative impacts of Tourism, ehow,2012 ) Decision: Therefore, the predating study shows that the impact of touristry in a state can be both positive or negative, whether it comes to economic, societal, or environmental effects. It depends to which extent touristry is developed in a peculiar part, which is to state the bound of the incoming influence that does non harm the host state. If we overcome that bound negative impacts of touristry will follow. Here is a figure which show the kineticss between the peoples, resources and touristry that make a positive part to others, Tourism Education: economic system Benefits: inter cultural value Environmental protagonism grosss Local state biological diverseness All the three elements in this theoretical account are co-related. Local state uses the resources but they protect them. Tourists can bask and derive cognition about it. But they besides pollute their environment and destruct it. So the local hosts draw their attending to alone natural resources in the country. They affect the tourers by giving them consciousness of their civilization and manner of life. The tourer s impact in the local populations can be foremost of all economic by bring forthing income, developing resources, sharing cognition and experience. And we should bear in head about co-interaction. In order to diminish the negative impacts about Tourism, there are some suggestions in below, The local people should be involved in touristry industries as employees. The organisations should collaborate with the local concern. Tourists should hold respectful head to the local civilization. They should protect and continue the natural resources. The circuit operators should be cognizant of ecological hotels, conveyance and eating house. It should be guarantee the equal distribution of economic benefits. We see it is a great challenge to do a profitable concern running touristry in an country without some negative consequence. It is possible for the touristry industry to collaborate with other industries and convey benefits to both touristry organisation and local concern. The first measure is to accomplish the apprehension of both the hosts and tourers.

Goodfellas essays

Goodfella's essays What aspects of mise en scene, sound, editing and cinematography has Scorsese used to develop our understanding of character in the sequence from Goodfellas. (Scorsese 1990). What do they communicate to you? This scene which I have examined portrays the gangster Henry Hill, played by Ray Liotta in the film Goodfellas, directed by Martin Scorsese in 1990. The film follows the life of a group of gangsters from Brooklyn, New York. It was based on a true story. In the sequence it shows the character of Henry Hill in part of one day of his life. He wakes up at 6:55 am and snorts some cocaine, I think he is doing this to wake himself up for the busy day because he relies on the drugs that much. He then stashes some guns in his car that he has bought to match some silencers for the same guns that Jimmy had bought. Whilst doing this he notices a police helicopter above him. Scorsese has used a point-of-view shot to make it appear as if the spectator is looking through the characters eyes and he also uses a high angle shot looking down on Henry to show he is intimidated by the appearance of this helicopter. He takes the guns to Jimmys house but unfortunately the silencers do not fit the guns, this angers Jimmy who then tells Henry to keep away from the drugs. What Henry is wearing is n instant indicator of the way he currently lives his lifestyle. You can tell that the cocaine has affected Henrys appearance...

A 90% response rate was achieved with over 500 employees originally sampled. As a means of understanding the core components of dissatisfaction, the study itself was of a somewhat limited scope as a means to seek to answer the most pressing issues that currently face the cafeteria and those within the firm that make use of its offerings. From this sampling the following key information has been determined with regards to the proceeding determinants that have been weighed: 98% of respondents indicated that the level of cleanliness within the cafeteria was unsatisfactory; key concerns centered around dirty floors, unsanitary condiment sections, and unclean floors and eating utensils. Additional concerns with relation to cleanliness consisted of concerns relating to the personal cleanliness of the food preparation process and the kitchen/cafeteria workers themselves. Similarly, fully 80% of employees felt that the quality of the food that the cafeteria offered was of a poor nature. Key concerns that were stated revolved around food being greasy, too salty, poorly cooked, improperly seasoned, tasting old, and/or being stale. Of the responses, it is interesting to note that none of these were concentric around the lack of choice or lack of diversity in the offerings that are made.
